'Colectiv Club' Victims

The costs for taking care of a burn victim is enormous; just to give you an example, a box of special bandages costs 76 lei (aproximativ $20), a defibrillator costs between $500 to $600. Several people have contacted us to find out how they cand help.
ALIANTA suggests three non-profit organizations as recipients of donations for victims of the fire.

On Tuesday November 3rd, Universal Music Romania announced that it will donate all its royalties from the sales of the albums "Mantras of War" by Goodbye to Gravity (the album launched in the club on the night of the tragedy) and "Ce simti" by the group Up To Eleven, to the victims of the tragedy.

Fundatia pentru SMURD (non-profit that supports SMURD activities).
SMURD (Serviciul Mobil de Urgenta, Reanimare si Descarcerare- Mobile Emergency Service for Resuscitation and Extrication) is an emergency rescue service based in Romania since 1990. They are the ones that responded to the emergency calls and gave first aid at the scene, as well as transported the wounded to the hospitals. They offered to redirect donations towards the victims and the hospitals that take care of the wounded. Their commitment to help victims is on going.

Estuar Foundation
Estuar is an NGO specialized in psychological and psychiatric counseling, established in 1993, is offering psychological counseling for victims and others present at the club, as well as money support for the victims families. More details here.

The Foundation intends to provide assistance of death by 2400 lei to each to the bereaved families. According to the Foundation website, Estuar already offered 2,400 lei funeral aid support to Claudiu Petre's family, one of the victims of the fire that dies trying to save more people from the fire. Claudiu Petre was decorated post mortem by President Klaus Iohannis for his "bravery, altruism and dedication" with the National Order medal.
Also, depending on the amounts raised in the coming days, they plan a minimum 1,000 lei financial aid to the survivors. To ensure transparency, each week they will announce donors and money raised and how they spent the money. If a donor wants the amount to be directed towards a specific person or family, they will ensure to respect the donor's intent. Estuar Foundation does not charge for managing the campaign, according to Amedeea Enache, Executive Director of the Foundation.
