SUMMARY:Romanian Embassy DC celebrate Europe Day with Open House
DESCRIPTION:On May 11th\, 2019 the Delegation of the European Union to the United States and the Embassies of the 28 EU Member States to the United States will open their doors to the Washington public during the EU Embassies’ Open House Day: a day of family fun\, food\, culture and more. The event offered visitors a rare look inside the embassies and provided a unique opportunity for them to experience the cultural heritage and national traditions of the 28 member countries. On that day\, all the embassies will open their doors to the public from 10 am until 4 pm. \nAt the Embassy of Romania (1607 23rd Street\, NW\, Washington\, DC 20008) you will have an opportunity to visit the Beaux-Arts style embassy built at the beginning of the 20th century and explore Romania’s traditions and culture through tasting local food and drinks. Exciting performances of Romanian folk dances will run along the day. \nRSVPs are not required. Entrance to all of the Embassies and the shuttle service is free\, although some Embassies may have food or other items for sale. \nFor security reasons\, all visitors aged 16 and over must bring valid photo identification to EU Open House Day. We recommend that guests avoid bringing over-sized bags\, as all Embassies will conduct security inspections. While you may bring a camera\, please be aware that certain Embassies will prohibit photography. \nAdditional info about the EU Open house available at: www.euopenhouse.org
