Michael McFaul. \nMichael McFaul\, an accomplished academic\, diplomat\, and an expert on Russia\, began his career in academia\, where he served as a Professor of Political Science at Stanford University and was the director of the university’s Center on Democracy\, Development\, and the Rule of Law​.In 2009\, McFaul joined the Obama administration as a senior adviser\, where he was instrumental in shaping the „Russian reset” policy\, which aimed to improve U.S.-Russia relations​. His expertise was further recognized in 2011\, when President Obama nominated him as the U.S. Ambassador to Russia\, making him the first non-career diplomat to hold this position.
