The Romanian Friends of Alianta organization celebrated a successful year with members and friends. Some 45 people gathered at the Ramada Nord Hotel in Bucharest November 26th for the Thanksgiving-themed event. Event welcomed Alianta USA co-founder and Boston Honorary Consul Dan Dimancescu, US Embassy DCM Abigail Rupp and Commercial Section representative Monica Eremia. Event sponsored by US-owned FirstBank [headed by Henk Paardekooper] and the Global Vision property development, building management and construction firm [headed by Sorin Preda]. Friends of Alianta representatives Georgiana Toader (VTM financial services); Wajiha Haris and Dana Tolici welcomed the guests.
Romanian Friends of Alianta is a newly-formed non-profit association in Bucharest, sister-organization of Alianta, based in Washington, designed to promote stronger US-Romanian relationships in business, security and culture. Romanian Friends of Alianța will organize networking and business events in Romania, about 3-4 times a year, to which members will have access. Now, if you’re based in Romania, all memberships, donations and sponsorships to Alianta or Friends of Alianta will be tax and VAT- deductible, in accordance with Romanian law concerning non-profit entities.
